Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
The greater Coeur d'Alene
(CdA) area includes the towns of
Hayden Lake and
Dalton. Downtown Coeur d'Alene surrounds a part of the shoreline
of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Hayden claims its own Hayden Lake (although
downtown Hayden doesn't view the lake). Dalton is sandwiched
between the two. From Cedar Mountain Farm, the drive to Hayden is
about 14 miles, Dalton, 17 miles, and Coeur d'Alene 20 miles--all to the
south.
We do much of our shopping in the Coeur d'Alene area. From the
big box to the specialty store, the greater Coeur d'Alene area has
much to offer. Need a shopping mall? Try out our Silver Lake
Mall. Love thrift shops? You'll have plenty to choose from
here. Lots of grocery stores (including Costco) are close to
Highway 95 as you drive north from CdA to the farm.
You'll find plenty of feeding stations along the way as well.
Traditional fast food fare abounds, of course. Lots of chain
restaurants as well as many unique eateries provide pleasant dining for
you.

Some of our favorites in the CdA vicinity are listed below.
The
Coeur d'Alene city park has a wonderful children's playground.
Some years back the community came together and built it with much help
from volunteers. The result is a delightful spot for kids of all
ages to frolic. The beach area is just a stone's throw away and
the park sometimes has concerts for all to enjoy.
The Coeur d'Alene Resort (hotel) with its world famous floating board
walk adjoins the CdA city park . The scenic hike around the board
walk provides beautiful views of the Lake as well as exercise!
Also adjacent to the park is the North Idaho museum.
The Kootenai County Fair Grounds, located in the Dalton area, hosts the
North Idaho fair in August, and various other shows during the year. We'll be
happy to tell you if something special is going on there during your
visit.
