Hiking, Biking, Cross-country Skiing
Explore our logging trails. We'll share our favorite haunts
with you. There's the gently winding road at the base of the
mountain, Turkey Hill, and a climb to the Picnic Grounds. Further
up you'll ascend Robb run. Don't miss Scream Alley--named for our
fast descents on cross country skis in winter. Those preferring
level terrain will appreciate our fragrant woods, open fields,
yards and gardens. Much of the farm is easily accessible.
Bird Watching
Look for great blue herons, ducks, geese, bald eagles, Idaho Mountain
Bluebirds (our state bird), wild turkeys, grouse, and songbirds.
During the spring of 2006 a beautiful swan appeared in our flooded
fields.
Wildlife Viewing
Deer, elk and coyotes abound. Occasionally we see a moose,
raccoon or porcupine. Badgers and ermine hide out while rabbits
and other rodents scurry about.
Fishing
Sage Creek runs along the base of the mountain. Brook trout
await a tasty worm. Children 13 and under do not need a license.
Check out our compost pile for worms.
Animal Friendships
Lowline Angus cattle, Starlit and Buttercup--our mini ponies, goats,
hair sheep, chickens, dogs, and cats make for a down home experience.
Our dogs love hiking with you!
Gardening
We're always looking for folks to help weed and nibble our abundance.
Star Gazing
Night skies delight our guests with gorgeous stars.
