Originally designed to be a conference room, the Forest Suite now headlines as our "log bedroom."  It is a favorite for parents who wish to have their children sleep in the same room with them.

As we were frantically working to open as a B and B back in the summer of 2001, I (Daryl) said to Al..."Honey, why don't you just build us log beds for the Forest Suite?" (Ah, a BIG honey-do!) Within a few days,  Al built the king, daybed and trundle frames from lodge pole pine logs with blued pine boards.  (A friend who also builds with logs donated some already peeled trees for the project.)  We usually refer to Al's building style as "early massive!" 

A small electric fire view stove contributes to the ambience with heat in winter, or without it in summer! Our guests enjoy the pretty flames regardless of the weather.

A private bath located just across the hall has a shower/tub combination, toilet, and sink.

The view from the Forest Suite looks into what we affectionately call "the ball field."  In our dreams it was slated to host baseball games.  This clear spot in the woods actually provides grazing for cattle at times, and deer (often a doe and fawn) regularly!
