Granny's and Spring
Granny’s and Spring are located in one wing of the main house. The whole wing is lockable for privacy.
Granny’s Woods, with its queen bed, looks out toward the west on a well-thinned woods where we sometimes graze horses. The room features furniture from Daryl’s grandparents, Henry and Teresa. They were antique buffs and loved beautiful, useful pieces. We believe that this furniture dates to the 1880′s. In addition to the impressive headboard, Grandpa Henry’s dresser and bedside table are in this room. Log walls and cedar ceiling surround you as you sleep. The quilt in Granny’s Woods was made by Al’s sister, Sylvia. The pattern, Log Cabin at a Snail’s Pace, depicts our slow construction of this big cabin. We dug the hole for the basement in 1989. It took nearly 10 years of work before we moved in! The bathroom for Granny’s and Spring has a large walk in shower with two shower heads and a jetted “big tubby.” Guests enjoy a luxurious soak with their stay. Or they send all the kids into the shower at once for a quick clean up. Spring room looks out on the garden area and has views of Cedar Mountain. Grandma Teresa’s dresser sits in one corner, opposite the full/twin bunk bed. When a couple chooses to stay in Granny’s, we do not rent Spring to anyone else outside of their own family members. "We could never thank you enough for giving us a Honeymoon of our dreams! This place is so peaceful and beautiful! Against my better judgement I am not sneaking out the bed. I will have to come sleep on it here again. It's the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on!....The tub is amazing and the shower, awesome! "

At the end of each day we had a warm welcoming home to come home to. The room is lovely and the tub to die for!! Thanks also for the great breakfasts and interesting conversation. We hope to visit again soon."
