Sandpoint, Idaho

Al and I love the drive from our farm to Sandpoint.  While it can offer a challenge during a snow storm, the rest of the time the pretty scenery soothes the soul.  Sandpoint itself is a gentle, artsy north Idaho town.  Local craftsmen and women create beautiful items displayed in little shops scattered throughout the town.  The Cedar Street Bridge, spanning Sand Creek, invites the visitor to come on in and enjoy a little shopping on a bridge!  And oh, the restaurants--our guests find the most wonderful food in Sandpoint and come back to the farm raving about it. 

Sandpoint lies on the north end of Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced Pond er ray).  The southern end is just a few miles from our farm!  This huge lake has spots that are over 1152 feet deep. The Sandpoint city beach is one of our favorites as well.  The view across the water is unbeatable.

Sandpoint's foremost winter attraction is Schweitzer Ski Resort--a great mountain and the closest ski hill fro the farm. Both downhill and cross country enthusiasts enjoy this mountain. We'll happily serve you an early breakfast and send you on your way for a day at the slopes!
